Pivot Point Modes

This menu (found on the header) determines the manner in which the Objects (or in Edit mode, vertices, edges or faces) are rotated, scaled or mirrored.

Active Object

All objects rotate based on center of the last selected object.

Individual Objects Center

Mode: Edit mode

Hotkey: Ctrl .


In Edit Mode all Objects rotate or scale around their own midpoints.

3D Cursor

Hotkey: .

The 3D cursor is the midpoint of rotation or scaling.

Median Point

Hotkey: Ctrl , or Shift ,

The median of all Objects or vertices is the center of rotation or scaling.

Bounding Box Center

Hotkey: ,

The midpoint of the boundbox is the center of rotation or scaling.
